"Campbell" cont.

Well, I was about to introduce Campbell when I looked at the blog and saw that Josh beat me to it by about two weeks!  But being a man of few words he left the "words" part up to me.  So here are the details....
After starting the induction at about 12:45 am on December 19th we waited in the hospital for 13 hours.  Yes I had contractions every three minutes the entire time, but they were mild and basically unproductive.  So we watched a couple movies, got a little sleep and tried not to get too discouraged, which was getting harder and harder to do as the hours slowly passed.  Then at about 2:40 pm to doctor said I had finally progressed to the point were she felt like we could break my water.  Once that happened, things suddenly became exciting.  Campbell was born 41/2 hours later at 7:22pm after a very smooth labor.  He weighed 9lbs 9oz and was 21 inches long.  Everything went beautifully.
We are all doing well, except for the cold that went around and got everyone but Campbell- thank God!  My parents came up for a week to meet him and to help us out.  They were a huge help and fun to have around.  It seemed like every time I saw my Mom she was either doing laundry or washing dishes! The girls love their baby brother and do everything they can to help take care of him.  As far as sleep goes, every night is unpredictable.  Some are good and some, well I just hope they are "character-building" somehow.  I'm just glad God made him so adorable and lovable, because I think that makes it easier to deal with him when he brings out his frustrating side!
Speaking of sleep, he is sleeping now, so this is my chance to get some of my own sleep.  Good night.

Glad to here that everyone is doing well and Campbell is healthy and string. I know your mom was a HUGE help. Things just don't seem to get done when you have a tiny newborn (or a newborn that's not so tiny:) ~ Call me when ever you get a chance! Kristin
