Okay, for some reason, the last time I tried to post this it didn't go through. So, I will try again! New years day (yes, that was a long time ago) I had the exciting experience of sailing in the 1967 o'day sailboat that Josh, my dad and I "fixed up". Josh's Uncle Chris gave it and it's trailer to us after we discovered it in his back yard 5 years ago. To try to draw a mental picture of the condition it was in at that point, I'll just say it was so full of rotten, nasty water that it was folded down the middle, and the back end was laying on the ground! (The front half was up on the trailer.) And I doubt it had been sailed in 15 years or more. So now, after a LOT of tlc and time, we get the pleasure we have been waiting for! Actually, sadly, Josh didn't get to go out on it this time. But Dad- who is the one who finished the job- is keeping it at his lake house now, and he took Taylor and me and my neice Natasha for a ride. I think we were moving at about .2 knots, but we had a good time!
