Taylor's Quotable

Owww! My finger hurts!
What happened, Taylor?
I bit it.

Settling In

Well, we are pretty much settled into our new home. We are very grateful to have had this extra time to settle in. I have to be honest and say the process has not been smooth. But because of God's faithfulness, we learned some things along the way and we pray we are better for it. We are also grateful to have had some time to just be together before classes start. But now we are beginning to feel restless and idle. So with bittersweet feelings in my heart, I am glad to say that things are about to change.
It is official! Josh registered for his classes this morning and now he is an official student of Covenant. Classes begin Thursday. Now, many of you know that Josh was planning to ease his way back into school. Well, if you know Josh, you will not be surprised that when he went to register, every single person in the registration process said basically, "Whoa, this is a tough load!" So please pray for him to be diligent and successful in his studies, and not become overwhelmed. He, being the 100% kind of man that we love, decided not to stick with the original idea of easing his brain back into school mode. Instead he is diving right into it head first! So here we are, and let the adventure begin!

Taylor's Quotable

We went to see the arch today and Taylor had a few things to say about it...
"Can I touch it? It's not scary. Is it scary? It's nice."
Then as we got closer she said,"It's taller than me and Aubrey! It looks like a really tall heart!"

Taylor

Here is a picture I wanted to send of Taylor. This is a typical outfit you might find on her on any given day. She pretty much only wears regular clothes when we go out. But then, right when we come back, she is back in her dress-up clothes. She's great. We love her. Posted by Picasa

Aubrey

I just had to show off this picture. I love it! Aubrey is growing fast and is now reaching for anything I have in my hand while I'm holding her. Or if she doesn't reach for it, she stares at it with big eyes. She has also started using her excersaucer, and she is rolling over onto her back quite alot! We love listening to her talk to herself. She has a sweet voice.

Taylor's Quotable

*"Big punch, Mommy!" After eating some of Mommy's taco soup.
*"You sure are." Something she likes to say every once in a while when she wants to sound grown up.

Snow in STL

It has been snowing all day. Taylor thinks playing in the snow is the most wonderful thing in the world, except when she forgets to wear her gloves. "Daddy, my hands hurt!!" Posted by Picasa

Grace and Truth

In my reading this morning, this little paragraph by John MacArthur jumped off the page at me: "We have no business preaching grace to people who do not understand the implications of God's law. It is meaningless to expound on grace to someone who does not know the divine demand for righteousness. Those who do not even sense their own guilt cannot possibly comprehend God's mercy. You cannot preach a gospel of grace to someone who has not heard that God requires obedience and punishes disobedience."
